Tired of air leaks and unexpected downtime in your pneumatic system? Proper care of your quick couplings isn’t just maintenance—it’s a critical practice for efficiency and safety. 

 

• Always Clean Before Connecting: Blow out dust and debris from both plug and socket. A single contaminant can compromise the seal.

• Use Dust Caps Religiously: The simplest, most effective way to prevent damage when couplings are disconnected.

• Connect Correctly: Align and push straight in. Listen for the click and tug to confirm a secure, leak-free lock.

• Check for Leaks: Use a soapy water solution on pressurized connections; bubbles mean it’s time for service.

• Inspect the Seal: The O-ring is the heart of the seal. Look for cuts, flattening, or brittleness.

• Lubricate Wisely: Apply a  small amount of pneumatic-compatible grease to the plug and seal.  Neveruse common oils or WD-40, which degrade seals.

• DO depressurize the line before disconnecting when possible.

• DO replace worn seals immediately with the correct specification.
