What Is a PTFE Teflon Tube?

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tubing — often called Teflon tubing — is a fluoropolymer tube with an extremely low friction surface, broad chemical resistance, and a wide operating temperature band. It resists almost all industrial chemicals, does not absorb water, and stays flexible after repeated thermal cycling. For engineers specifying fluid lines, wire insulation, or protective sleeving in harsh environments, PTFE is the go-to choice.

Six Performance Advantages

Heat Resistance

Continuous use from -40°C to 260°C. Handles steam, hot oils, and cryogenic fluids.

Chemical Inertness

Unaffected by strong acids, alkalis, solvents, and oxidizing agents. Near-universal compatibility.

Non-Stick Surface

Nothing clings to it. Residue rinses off easily — clean enough for food and pharma.

Electrical Insulation

High dielectric strength. Safe in high-voltage enclosures, EV harnesses, and transformers.

Mechanical Strength

Withstands pressure up to 2.0 MPa and resists kinking under pull loads.

UV & Weathering

No embrittlement outdoors. Performs the same after years of sun and rain exposure.

Standard Specifications

All tubes listed below ship in 100-meter continuous rolls — no splices, full measured length. Pressure ratings are based on 20°C ambient. For elevated-temperature working pressure, consult our engineers.

100-Meter Rolls — Full Length, No Splices

Some suppliers stitch short leftover lengths together to hit the labeled meter count. Those hidden seams create weak spots — and in a chemical line or high-pressure circuit, a seam is a future leak.

Reayon Pneumatic extrudes every roll as one uninterrupted length. You get exactly 100 meters of continuous tubing. Fewer joints in your system. Less installation waste. No mid-run surprises.

Where PTFE Teflon Tubing Is Used

  • Chemical plants — acid, alkali, and solvent transfer lines that outlast metal.

  • Electric vehicles — battery thermal management coolant loops and high-voltage insulation sleeving.

  • Medical devices — drug delivery, peristaltic pump tubing, and sterile fluid paths.

  • Food and beverage — hot oil, steam, and ingredient lines that meet FDA material requirements.

  • Power electronics — transformer lead insulation, busbar sleeving, and high-potential test cables.

  • Public transit — cable harness protection and pneumatic lines in buses and railcars.

Why Choose Our PTFE Tubes

We supply PTFE tubing to OEMs, system integrators, and maintenance teams across Asia, Europe, and North America. Three things set Reayon Pneumatic apart:

  1. Batch consistency. Every production lot is tested for dimensional tolerance, burst pressure, and dielectric strength before release.

  2. 100m guarantee. We measure, not estimate. If a roll falls short, we replace it — no debate.

  3. Engineer-to-engineer support. Talk directly to someone who understands pressure derating curves and chemical compatibility charts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What temperature range can PTFE Teflon tubing withstand?

PTFE Teflon tubing operates continuously from -40°C to 260°C. It handles both cryogenic fluids and high-temperature steam without degrading.

Are Reayon Pneumatic PTFE tubes guaranteed to be full 100-meter rolls without splices?

Yes. Every roll is a single continuous extrusion — never spliced. Reayon Pneumatic ships 100-meter rolls measured to length, eliminating the weak points and leak risks that come with joined segments.

Which industries commonly use PTFE tubing?

PTFE tubing is widely used in chemical processing, electric vehicle battery thermal management, medical device fluid paths, food and beverage processing, and high-voltage electrical insulation.

Can I order custom PTFE tube sizes or colors?

Yes. Reayon Pneumatic accepts custom OD/ID dimensions, wall thicknesses, color coding, and cut-to-length orders. Contact our sales team with your requirements for a quote.
