What Is a PA Rotary 3-Way Fitting?

A PA rotary 3-way fitting is a quick-connect pneumatic elbow. It has two push-in tube ports and one male threaded port. The body rotates 360 degrees after you install it. This lets you change tube direction without stressing the line.

We build PA rotary fittings with PA polyamide housings and brass thread inserts. The push-in design means no tools for tube connection. Press the release sleeve to disconnect. This saves time during installation and maintenance.

The model PA(2)-8-G01 takes 8 mm outer diameter tube and uses G 1/8" BSPP male thread. It handles working pressures up to 1.0 MPa and temperatures from −10°C to +60°C.

How to Install

Our push-in fittings install by hand. No tools or thread sealant needed. Follow these steps to get a leak-free connection.

Step 1: Check the tube end

Cut the tube square with a tube cutter. A clean 90-degree cut gives the best seal. Do not use scissors. Inspect the end for burrs or cracks. If you see any, cut the tube again.

Step 2: Insert the tube

Push the tube straight into the port until you feel resistance. Then push harder until it seats fully. You should feel a small click as the grip ring catches the tube. The tube must go all the way in. A partial insertion will leak.

Step 3: Check the fit

Pull the tube gently to confirm the grip ring holds it. Do not twist. The tube should not move. If it comes out, push it in again until it seats.

Step 4: Adjust the rotation

For rotary models, rotate the body to the desired angle after the tube is locked. The body spins 360 degrees around the thread. This lets you route the line without kinks.

Step 5: Remove the tube

Press the elliptical release sleeve toward the body. Hold it down and pull the tube straight out. Do not twist the tube while pulling. This protects the grip ring and extends fitting life.

Tip: Our fittings come with pre-sealed threads. The gasket, O-ring, and Teflon coating are already on the thread. Do not add extra thread sealant. Overtightening may damage the gasket.

How to Select

Use these five checks to pick the right PA fitting for your system.

  1. Measure tube outer diameter

    Use calipers to check the tube OD. Match it to the fitting model number. PA(2)-8-G01 fits 8 mm tube. Do not mix inch and metric sizes.

  2. Check thread type and size

    Identify the port thread on your valve or cylinder. BSPP (G) is parallel, BSPT (R) is tapered, NPT is US tapered. Use a thread gauge if you are not sure. We stock all four standards.

  3. Confirm pressure and temperature
